A Hawaiian Gallinule, Gallinula galeata sandvicensis, foraging in the grass by a flooded taro field on Kauai, Hawaii. It is an endangered species in Hawaii. This bird is a subspecies of the Common Gallinule which was formerly called the Common Moorhen.
