Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a steep canyon of volcanic basalt, formed by erosion and the collapse of a volcanic crater on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, USA. In the distance is Waipo’o Falls which cascade down 800 vertical feet.
