The Hermon Springs flow out of the cliffs in the Hermon Stream (Banyas) Nature Reserve, a national park in the foothills of Mount Hermon in northern Israel. This stream is one of the headwaters of the Jordan River and is the site of the ancient city of Caesarea Philippi and a religious center called Banyas or Panias, dedicated to the Greek god, Pan.
