Stone pillars line the cardo or Palladius Street in the ruins of the city of Scythopolis, a Roman city in northern Israel.  During the Roman era, it was one of the most important of the Decapolis cities.  Bet She'an National Park.  In the background is Tel Bet She'an topped with ruins dating back to the Bronze Age.
