Roman and Byzantine statues by the theater at Caesarea Maritima in Caesarea National Park in Israel. The city was built as a port on the Mediterranean Sea by Herod the Great between 22 and 15 B.C. The small Byzantine statue at left represents Christ, the Good Shepard.
