A male Grey-tailed or Gray-tailed Mountaingem - Lampornis cinereicauda, adopts an aggressive posture in a threat display toward another nearby hummingbird in the Savegre River Valley in Costa Rica. He is fluffing up the feathers of his throat gorget to appear larger and more threatening. Until recently it was believed to be a subspecies of the white-throated mountaingem, Lampornis castaneoventris.
