The Dome of the Rock shrine or Qubbat As-Sakhrah was built within the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem on the Jewish Temple Mount and site of the Second Jewish Temple. It was completed about 692 A.D. and is the third most holy site in Islam. The Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
