A Mayan stone stela depicting a priest in ceremonial dress, from Campeche.   Rufino Tamayo Museum of Pre-Hispanic Art of Mexico, Oaxaca, Mexico.   His headdress represents Chac, the god of rain.  He holds a container of copal incense in his right hand.  Late Classic Period,  750 - 950 A.D.
