At 19 feet tall, Stela 18 is the tallest of the stela in the pre-Columbian Zapotec ruins of Monte Alban in Oaxaca, Mexico.  A UNESCO World Heritage Site.  It is thought to have had an astronomical function, tracking the course of the sun.
