JGF-Jerusalem-Garden Tomb-IL-9325.jpg
The interior of the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, just north of the Damascus Gate and outside the walls of the ancient city. The Garden Tomb is thought by many to be the burial place of Jesus Christ, rather than in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Nearby is a hill thought by many to be Golgotha, the site of the crucifixion of Christ. On the wall is a reproduction of the actual Byzantine cross discovered when the tomb was excated with alpha and omega symbols signifying Jesus Christ.
