A warrior carved in a stucco frieze on the Temple of Kukulkan in the ruins of the Post-Classic Mayan city of Mayapan, Yucatan, Mexico. The figure is missing its head and in its place is an alcove or niche for placing the head or skull of a sacrificial victim.
