This mountain in Wadi Rum, Jordan, was renamed The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, after the book of the same name by T.E. Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia who aided the Arab Revolt here during World War I.

Jabal al-Mazmar (The Mountain of Plague), was named "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom in 1980's after book by T.E. Lawrence the Wadi Rum Protected Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mountain is composed of Um Sahn sandstone with a base layer of basalt. Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
