Elaborate ancient Native American petroglyphs of the Basketmaker Culture of about 2000 years ago chipped into the black desert varnish of a cliff face in the Bears Ears National Monument in Utah.  In the distance is the San Juan River.  Pictured here are bighorn sheep.
